About Me

Andrew Cheffings

Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness

I am a member of the NCH and I work with chronic pain and anxiety sufferers who are held back in life and work. I help them feel safe and confident in overcoming their symptoms so they can get their lives back on track and start to thrive again.

I am a Natural Voice practitioner and community musician and I can also work with you through body, breath and voice practices to help you feel more included, confident and relaxed. I can also give talks and workshops to your group to help you incorporate these techniques into your everyday lives.

Hypnotherapy and Mindfullness

Imagine

Imagine being in a beautiful, relaxing place – maybe a favourite place in nature or a quiet garden – and relaxing there – maybe through healthy exercise, gently strolling or lying back – and, without any other preoccupations, taking in the scene that surrounds you – the scents, the colours, the sounds, the tastes, the sensations and inner feelings. We all carry the potential for this gentle, healthful focus at all times, wherever we are, and yet, so often, most of us are caught up in more fretful ways of being, which, over time, can contribute to low mood and physical aches and pains.

Through simple breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, bringing the mind’s focus gently onto positive sensations and the deep, peaceful state before thoughts and actions are formed, we can start to bring the peace of our special, personally sacred spaces into our everyday lives, calming our minds and bodies and leading to a richer and more aware moment-by-moment living.
